Our Founder's Story

Metalwork Shaped by Nature

Claire Crowe is the founder and creative director of Claire Crowe Collection, a Dallas metalwork studio creating hand-forged fire screens, lighting, mirrors, wall sculpture, and small furnishings for the interior design trade.
She grew up in Arkansas, in and around her mother’s working studio. Canvases dried in the front room. A kiln sat out back. Semiprecious stones were set into jewelry, and leather belts were tooled by hand. Nearby, her grandmother’s flower shop became another kind of studio, filled with cut stems, fresh soil, color, and form.
Claire studied English literature before coming to metalwork. By then, her eye had already been trained by years of watching things made by hand.
Today, her studio creates pieces drawn from leaves, branches, flowers, and wings, using traditional metalwork techniques adapted for refined residential interiors. Each piece is made one at a time in Texas, with the maker’s hand left visible in the work.

Our Work

Hand-forged metalwork for interiors with depth, character, and permanence.

We design and build hand-forged metalwork for interiors with depth, character, and permanence.

Our work includes fire screens, lighting, mirrors, wall sculpture, and small furnishings for designers and architects who value craft, proportion, and work that carries the mark of the hand.

Each piece begins in our Dallas studio, where leaves, branches, flowers, and wings are studied for their structure, movement, and quiet irregularity. Those details are translated into iron, bronze, and hand-applied finishes using traditional metalwork techniques.

We work primarily with the interior design trade, offering core collection pieces as well as custom work tailored in scale, finish, and proportion. Our pieces are made one at a time in Texas, with the maker’s hand left visible in the work.

Claire Crowe Collection is for designers who want pieces with presence and staying power: objects that do not chase trends, but become part of the architecture of a room. Quietly distinctive now. Even better years from now.

Made in Our Dallas Studio

Collection pieces and custom commissions can be specified in the scale, finish, and proportion required for the project.
