The August Fire Screen is a hand-forged iron fire screen with a slim, architectural frame and fine mesh panel. Its simple profile keeps the fire in view, while the hand-finished metal gives the piece more character than a standard fireplace screen insert.

August specifies well for modern and transitional interiors that need a clean, rectilinear fireplace screen with quiet presence. Each piece is made in Texas by the studio’s metalworkers and finished by hand in standard painted finishes or premium oxidized finishes.

Custom sizing is available. Lead time is 10 to 12 weeks plus shipping.

Custom Sizing

August can be made to the width and height of the firebox or surrounding masonry. Send dimensions and site photos to the studio, and we'll help confirm the right scale for a fireplace screen with a clean architectural profile.

Forged Iron Construction

August is made by hand in Texas with a forged iron frame, fine mesh, and shaped feet. The frame is direct and restrained, built for rooms where the fireplace needs structure without a botanical motif.

Finish Direction

Choose from six standard hand-painted finishes, or request a Patina Reserve quote when the project calls for a more oxidized surface. Each finish is hand-applied so the screen can sit naturally with the room's surrounding metals and stone.

What are the differences between your standard sizes?

Click here to learn more about our four standard sizes. We created these after years of experience fitting fireplaces. It’s likely that one of these sizes will fit your firebox.

How do I know what size fire screen is right for me?

There are no rules when it comes to fitting a fire screen to a firebox! However, our most popular fit is just inside the box. To get this look, measure the width and height of your firebox, subtract 1” from the height and 2” from the width, and the result would be your fire screen size.
