Each year, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House brings together a select group of the most creative minds in luxury interior design, and this season’s Dallas home was no exception. We were honored to have three of our artisan lighting designs included in the show house. Each piece was forged and formed by our Texas metal artisans, individually crafted one at a time, all rooted in our love of nature-inspired metalwork.
Sculptural Lighting in a Bold and Entrancing Hallway
Designer Lori Paranjape created one of the most talked-about rooms in the home. We were thrilled when she chose two of our artisan lighting pieces to illuminate and elevate the space.
Lori used our butterfly dish lights in a flirty threesome to enhance the hallway. Each sculptural butterfly pendant added a soft, glowing presence and cast fluttery shadows on the malachite walls, adding drama and whimsy. Our Sakura lantern hung above the game table and contributed an organic timeless botanical design detail to the setting.
These fixtures brought warmth, a little movement, and a quiet sense of elegance to the space. Thoughtful, well-made lighting can shape the mood of a room, and it's something we always keep top of mind when we design each piece.
Mixed-Metal Warmth in Mohoń Interiors’ Evening Lounge
In the Evening Lounge, Mohoń Interiors created a richly layered retreat filled with texture, depth, and a soothing palette. To anchor the hearth, they selected our Sunburst Fire Screen, a favorite among designers who want a balance of strong geometry and handcrafted detail.
The fire screen’s radiating forged-metal pattern paired beautifully with the room’s mixed-metal accents, demonstrating how custom fire screens help interior designers elevate a fireplace from functional necessity to sculptural focal point.
Craftsmanship at the Center
Every piece we send into the world begins with a sketch, a pair of hands, and a worked piece of metal which has. been shaped, forged, and finished in our Dallas studio. Kips Bay gave us a chance to see our work interpreted through the eyes of other visionary designers, and that collaboration is one of the greatest joys of being in this craft.
